Callie's First Birthday

Cant believe that my baby is 1 years old.  To celebrate we had a big birthday party with lots of family and friends.  We had a taco party with a pinata and cupcakes for dessert.

 She was not too happy when the cupcake was finished but we had to go take a bath and get cleaned up for presents

Alot has happened this last year with moving to Oregon 2 weeks after Callie was born , starting Dental School, and having this amazing little lady join our family.  She has brought so much joy and happiness into our lives!

We try to take advantage of warm days and head outside

We have not had to many hot days yet but when we do we head outside and let this little water baby play with her water table and in her little pool.  She also discovered that she LOVES watermelon.

 I love this new little swimsuit that I got Callie.  Horizontal ruffles are typically not that flattering on someone but I think it looks pretty cute on this little skinny lady of mine!

Cabin Trip

Shawn had an extra long weekend over Memorial Day weekend with no school on Friday and Monday. So we invited some friends from the Dental School and headed up to grandpa's cabin in the mountains.  We had such a great time together with everyone.  We had 8 adults and 6 little kids 3 and under.  Callie loved the cabin and spent most her time outside collecting rocks and pine needles.  We also went to the fish hatchery, took a hike to the Head of the Metolius River, went to the Camp Sherman Store, and went into Sisters. 

We're so glad when daddy comes home!

Callie and I were outside waiting for Shawn to get home from school and I was able to capture a few cute pictures of how excited she gets when she sees her daddy after a long day with just me. She loves her daddy so much and is very happy spending the rest of the day with him when he gets home from school each day.

After Sunday dinner Aunt Savannah brought some ice cream and cones over for dessert and Callie got to have her first ice cream cone with Cousin Porter.  She loved it!

Platt Family Beach Days

                                                

Shawn came up with the idea to head to the coast for the day on Saturday for Mothers Day and because it was going to be such a perfect day at the beach. We headed to Cannon Beach and had such a great day!  Callie loved being in a giant sand box and her and Shawn dug holes and built castles for a while before she discovered the water...then we could not keep her out of it.  She loved the ocean and even though the water was freezing she played in it until we finally had to take her out to warm her up and take her home. 
We have ourselves a beach baby and we will have to make sure and take some more trips to the coast with our Callie Ann.
