I love baby accessories!!!

Ever since I found out that I was going to have a baby girl I started to make a stock-pile of baby accessories.
I love baby clothes but I really really love baby accessories and Callie loves looking very cute in them all too!

Callie's baby shoes-she wears shoes almost everyday Lots of hair bows, flowers, and headbands

Callie's drawer full of tightsAnd Callie's cute baby hats...cant wait for winter so she can start wearing most of them.

First Day of Dental School

Well we made it!

Shawn just started his first day of Dental School yesterday. Class started at 8 am and did not get home until 9 pm that night. It was a long day (for me) but Shawn loved it. He got to start right away in the cadaver lad and he started cutting up an old lady's back.
I am so proud of Shawn for working so hard to make his dream come true of getting into Dental School...now just 4 more years to go and then he will be a Dentist!

Callie's 2 month Dr apt

My mom and I took Callie to her 2 month Dr apt this week. We got the Pediatrician that we wanted and were excited to get Callie's new stats but I was very sad and nervous for her shots. For weeks before Callie's apt I would get sad every time I thought about her getting her shots. Good thing Callie's grandma was there to be brave and to stand by her and hold her when she got her shots!

Callie decided to show off for the Dr at her apt. He laid her on her belly in front of a mirror and said in the next month or so she will be able to start holding her own head up and then she lifted her head so high and started smiling at herself in the mirror and even rolled over to her back twice. The Dr was very impressed with her back and neck strength...it looks like all of her tummy time is paying off.

Callie's 2 month stats:

Weight: 11 lbs and 13 oz 70%

Height: 24 inches 93%

Head Size: 40.6 cm 85%

We love our happy and growing baby!

Grandma and Grandpa Platt come to visit

Shawn's dad and step mom and older Sister, Amanda, and her 2 boys all drove out to Oregon to visit. We had a great time with them. We went to Silver Creek Falls and hiked to a few of the falls, enjoyed a BBQ at my parents house, went to the beach for the day, toured Shawn's Dental School, and enjoyed time together as a family.

Bumbo Girl

We put Callie in the Bumbo the other day to see if she would like it or able to even sit up in it and she did great! She sat up and loved it because she could sit on the counter and help us make dinner. She does so good holding her head up. She even gets to now sit at the kitchen table with us while we all eat dinner.

Crater Lake

On our way back from Lake Shasta Shawn and I decided to go to Crater Lake. We did not have to travel far to get there from our route back home from Shasta. We spent a few hours checking out the beautiful lake (and it really is so so blue) it was so amazing and then we headed to Roseburg for the night. I am happy we took our little detour to Crater Lake since it is a very popular stop in Oregon and I had never been before. Defiantly worth the extra drive through the mountains to get there and see it. Callie got a little tuckered out during our Crater Lake visit

Callie was a happy girl during one of hikes
