White Coat Ceremony

My family, Callie, and I were able to go to Shawn's White Coat Ceremony last week and it was such a proud moment for us to see him walk across the stage to get his white coat with his name on it.  So not really sure what this all means or when he gets to wear his white coat but it was significant since it means he made it through his first year of Dental School!  Great moment!  Shawn has been working so hard this past year and we are so proud of him!!!!!!!!!

I love this pictures of My Callie Girl.  I love the necklaces (since they are a new accessory that have to always be worn now) I love the little ponytail, and I love the sweet little grin on her face.
She is getting so big and I cant stand it.  But each day she brings more joy and happiness into our lives!

Camping with the Platts

The end of our Wyoming trip was spent camping in the Uinta Mountains with Shawn's family.  We had the perfect camp site with a little stream that ran right next to us (and Callie was obsessed with) and lots of good food and company.  Callie loved being outside and getting dirty all day.
Throwing rocks into the stream was a favorite activity

Lots of Platt cousins inside the fort that Uncle Shawn made for the kids to play in
Shawn was able to catch a few fish while we were camping as well

Uncle Shawn was the master builder making forts for all of the kids with the limbs around the campsite
We had a great time camping with all of the Platts!

4th of July in Wyoming

We got to celebrate the 4th of July in Evanston this year with Shawn's family.  We got to go to the Woodruff Parade with Shawn's sister and her family and one of Shawn's good friends from high school.  The parade was the perfect size (nice and small to keep Callie's attention) and since lots of people have horses in Wyoming there were lots of horses in the parade and lots of candy to gather too.
Shawn, Callie, and I waiting for the parade to start
Elise (Shawn's high school friend) and her baby Rowan, Shawn and Callie
Callie loved spending time with her girl cousins Tessa and Maggie
The rest of the day we spent playing at Grandpa Platt's house with lots of Platt cousins and then we went to a big park to watch the big firework show
We had to get Callie some of her own cowgirl boots since she was going to be in Wyoming

Getting to Wyoming

Shawn got a 2 week break for the summer from school so we decided to take advantage of that and spent the first week with wedding festivities for the new Mr and Mrs Brock Nelson and then took off for Wyoming to spend the second week with Shawn's family.
We decided to leave Saturday afternoon and break up the drive into 2 days to make it nicer for our Callie Girl.  We got to Boise that night and got into the hotel pool to play right away and then had some dinner and then were off to bed for the night.
Callie is helping daddy load the luggage into the car Sunday morning
Callie got to play on all of the rocking chairs outside the Cracker Barrel in Boise Saturday night-we wanted her to get rid of all the energy she had built up after sitting in the car for 7 hours
 Playing in the hotel pool
We got to Utah and spent the night with a dear Mission friend of mine and loved visiting with her and her husband and Callie loved playing in the sprinklers.  Then Monday we were headed to visit with Shawn's mom and made a stop at Cabela's in Lehi first to see of the fish and animal displays.
Callie tried to stay cool from the Utah heat with a little Jamba Juice-it was not enough.  We were not use to all the dry heat they have in Utah and we do not miss it either
After visiting with Shawn's mom and spending the night with the best hosts (our cousins, the Woodley's) we finally headed up to Wyoming.
Callie got right to playing in the sprinklers at Grandpa Platts house.....

Brock and Emily's Wedding

Brock and Emily got married on June 29th in the beautiful Portland Oregon Temple with a reception that followed in my parents back yard.  It was a rustic wedding and everything turned out so beautiful and it was so fun to see how happy Brocky and Emily are.  We are all happy to welcome Emily into the family!

Porter and Callie enjoyed playing on the Temple grounds while waiting for the couple to come out

Blake and Porter (looking so dapper in his cream suit and bowtie) at the reception
Grandma Nelson made Callie's dress and it looked so cute on her and I loved that it showed off her little legs
Callie loved the feel of Aunt Emily's dress and would back up into it and wrap it around her body
