Portland Temple

Callie is obsessed with "Temple Holy Place"  She loves the Temples and loves to pass by the Portland Temple every time we go to visit daddy's school.  We also have a Temple book and she loves to look at it and find the "Angle Aroni" on top of all of the Temples.
We decided to go visit the Temple and walk around it and go to the Visitors Center on Shawn's Saturday off of school.  The girls loved it-and Callie has not stopped talking about it since.  She can now also sing "I love to see the Temple"  and sings it all day long.  And she likes to tell everyone that mommy and daddy got married in the Temple too.
So blessed to live so close to such a beautiful Temple.

New pictures of my 2 baby girls

We are loving the nice weather again and loving the swing at Porter's house
Looking cute in her new birthday shorts at cousin Brax's Graduation Party
Park day with grandma-loving the rings and swing.  Lu's first time on a swing and she sure loved it
Lu loves all our morning walks around the farm
I love this picture of my big girl-she looks so big here!
My Lucy is looking so sweet here and starting to fill out her carseat
This little lady loves to have her tongue out-really it is always sticking out-grandpa calls her tonguers.

Visiting daddy for lunch at the Dental School-one of our favorite things to do!
I love this shot of my little LuLu peeking though her car seat to see her mommy while I was driving.  I turned around in the car at a stop light to see this-I had to take a picture of that sweet little face peeking at me.

Happy Birthday Shawn

We celebrated Shawn's 28th Birthday this last week.  We helped Shawn celebrate with some Sushi for dinner and pecan carmel cheesecake.  Shawn also got some new scrubs for school (since that is what he wears 5 days a week) and some dental supplies (didnt sound like fun to me but that is what he asked for)

Happy Birthday Shawn-we sure love you!!!!!!!!!

2 Year Dr visit

This little one loved her Dr visit.  I was a little worried for the 2 year check up (especially the shots) but she did great and loved getting her stickers, loved Dr Craft, and didn't even cry at all for her "pokes"

Callie's stats:
Weight: 24 lbs               34%
Height: 34.5 inches        74%
Head: 50.5 cm              99%
We are keeping very consistent with all our previous well baby check ups with low weight, medium height, and a big noggin!

Callie's Birthday Parties

Callie had 2 Birthday Parties this year.  We first celebrated our sweet Callie Girl turning 2 on her actual birthday which was Sunday, June 2nd with family.  We had aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and great- grandparents over for PINK cake and PINK ice cream.  We love living so close to family and really appreciate all of the love and support they give us.

Then just a week later we celebrated Callie's birthday again with lots of our dental school friends.  Callie and two other little boys (Paxton and Tate) who had birthdays close to hers got to have all their friends over for a fun outside party with cake, ice cream, yummy food, and a pinata.
We loved having the opportunity to celebrate our Callie with 2 parities and love from both family and friends!

So proud of "Dr Platt"

So Proud of Shawn for winning "The Terry Monetti Memorial Award for Excellence"
There is only 1 award given out to a Second Year student and the professors choose 6 students to present to the class to vote for and the student who gets the most votes from their fellow students and from the professors wins the award and a very generous cash award too!
So proud of Shawn for working so hard at school and winning this award and working so hard to become the Best dental school student he could be!!!

And she is potty trained!

One of my goals this year was to get Callie potty trained before her 2nd Birthday!  I have tried off and on a few times during the last month or two and she would use her potty chair a few times and then have a few accidents and use the potty chair again....I decided to keep trying every other week or so...and 5 days before her 2nd birthday she decided on her own that she was BIG and that she was not going to wear diapers anymore.
She uses both her small potty chair upstairs and just a smaller toilet seat cover for the big potty downstairs and really has very few accidents at all in the last few weeks (we have found that she has to always go potty before she jumps on the trampoline)!
I now even feel comfortable taking her out of the house in just panties and most mornings she will wake up with dry pull ups too.  Once this pack of pull ups is gone then we will not use them at all either (Pull ups are just for sleeping with at night)
Callie is thinking she is already a pro at the potty and usually insists that she does it all by herself-without any help.  But mommy, daddy, and grandma still help with washing hands!
So proud of my BIG girl and hope Lucy will be able to potty train this easy too!
