We went to Wyoming for the 4
th of July this year-we were missing Oregon since we go there every year-but since the 4
th was on Sunday all of our extended family ended up coming out here to Utah instead and my parents and Blake and Savannah stayed in
Oregon because we are waiting to hear any day now that our little nephew will be here.
So we went to Wyoming and celebrated the 4
th Platt style. It was fun hanging with all of Shawn's family. We had all of the family together except for Joseph who is on his mission. We spent time at the Bear River in
Evanston where we played in the river and there was lots of tubing down the
river and lots of
buffalos and a huge moose that walked out from the bushes and crossed the river right next to us-it was so cool to see. We also spent time chatting and eating and playing with all of the
nieces and nephews and lighting off fireworks.
I bought a kit with star sugar cookies, frosting, and red, white, and blue sprinkles to decorate them with the kids. We had fun decorating and eating the cookies. Me, Hadley, and

Brecon-who just celebrated his 3rd birthday.
Brecon loves the movie, Cars, so we bought him some cars to play with since we are not going to get to see him for the next 3 years since his family is moving to Germany for the next 3 years. We will miss them!

We got to roast some marshmallows and made
s'mores-my favorite
